Are my symptoms consistent with MS??

Post by MalGal13 »

Hi! I'm Mallory and I am a year old woman in Canada. In May it began with random numbness along the bottom right jaw. I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve at the hospital. I went to physio but the pain came back. Fast forward to November and I am sitting in a neurologists office being diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. This has now affected my whole right side of my face. It feels numb, achy and burns, or feels like pressure especially behind the eye. I am awaiting an MRI and they are specifically looking for demyelination. Now since my November 9th neurology appointment I have started to experience a burning sensation in my right hand followed by pain in the wrist which shoots down to the elbow. I also have experienced twice some tightness in my midsection which wrapped around to my back. All my back muscles hurt. One night while I was laying in bed it felt like someone was squeezing my rib cage. Now this could be described as uncomfortable but not debilitating. My facial pain is only getting worse.

My question is are these symptoms consistent with MS? I know no one can diagnose me but it would be nice to know if other people who have been diagnosed has or has not experienced what I am currently.

I really appreciate any responses :-D

There are over 400 illnesses that mimic the symptoms of MS. Let the professionals do their jobs. Anyone else would just be guessing. Be patient and you will get the correct answers you need. The MRI will be helpful in any diagnosis. Are they doing a MRI of both your brain and your spine?
