They say myokymia (muscle twitches) is another symptom indicative MS. But it's hard to tell it apart from fascisulations (visually). On the emg they sound different.
I'm going to go for a emg in Jan. I get twitches all over my body, but I also get twitches in my face, as well the left side of my face feels numb. When i yawn, the left/numb side droops compared to my right. Idk if it's been like that for a long time. I just notice the right side of my face is much tighter than the left and the left gets tingly sensations. Coincidentally, the left side of my tongue is smaller on that side. I wonder if they are connected.
Have you guys ever heard of myokymia and or have it?
Do you guys know what myokymia is?

Hi,
They (your word) also say that it's genetic, familial, benign, a precursor and nothing to worry about.
I'd be more concerned the left side of your face. It could as likely imply something very different to MS.
Your tongue is part of a much bigger organ. Unless it is outrageously different I wouldn't worry about it.

^Is this referring to myokymia? I keep finding stuff that always says it's pathological. Fascisulations (ugh i can never spell that word right) is what is considered benign. They (your word) also say that it's genetic, familial, benign, a precursor and nothing to worry about.
As for my face, that is something i am concerned about indeed! But i can't tell if it's true numbness tbh. I can pinch it and i feel the pinch. But it just feels idk..off? The right side of my face never feels/felt like that. I think it's the tingly sensations that happen sporadically in my cheeks, upper lips and temple that makes me think it's numb. It's very transient, goes away after like 2 days or something. But comes back weeks later, always the same side though.
I don't think it's bells palsy as bells palsy is pretty distinguishable and usually a one time occurance. I hope i am not having mini-strokes. idk what else it could be, or if i'm imagining it. So many days i wonder if i'm imagining this stuff. I don't think boyfriend cant handle my anxiety for much longer.

This is from the bfsrecovery site i am also on. I hope these sensory issues i am experiencing would be in fact related to bfs.
What are the symptoms of BFS?
Benign Fasciculation Syndrome can most succintly be described as a hyperexcitability of the neuromuscular system. BFS has a variety of symptoms, including (but not limited to) frequent muscle twitches, muscle cramping, easy muscle fatigue, muscle aches and a "stiff" feeling, shakiness (tremors), and exercise intolerance. BFS sufferers often have a wide range of sensory symptoms as well, including (but not limited to) feelings of numbness, pins and needles sensations, itchiness, perceived weakness, "buzzing", globus sensations and hot/cold sensations.
___
I Literally get all of these, every single one. But the extra symptoms that i do get keep bringing me back here.

Hi,
I guess it will be the same routine then; look for infections, look for deficiencies in nutritional levels and treat them if you find them. Get checked for muscle tightness and remedy with massage and stretch based programs such as Yoga and Pilates.
