Hi,
I recently had a CT scan due to having a constant headache and neck ache with pressure behind the left eye for a few weeks which came back normal.
I also have the following symptoms:
Muscle cramps
Joint pain
Numbness to outer arms from little finger to elbow
Tingling in fingertips and feet
Tiredness
Tinnitus
Bumping into walls/door way on right side
Aching/dragging pain in arms when above my head
Hoarse/croaky voice
Insomnia
Restless legs at night
Heat sensitive.
Even a I write these symptoms I feel like a lazy hypochondriac. These symptoms are not all long lasting, not all at once. My doctor insisted that the CT scan was ok and the symptoms were too infrequent to worry about.
I'm unsure as to whether I am concentrating on symptoms that are a normal part of life or whether my concerns are justified.
I would appreciate any advice and to see if other have had these symptoms.
Thanks
Unsure and undiagnosed

Hi,
Firstly, you should be taken seriously. A cat scan shouldn't be the only test. A full range of blood tests that look for infection and deficiencies should be the starting point.
Have you had any tests of that sort?
Regards,

Yes I have had bloods done and the only thing that came back was that my cholesterol was a but high. The doctor said that my symptoms don't relate to this, all other blood work was normal.

Hi,
I'm afraid I don't know what normal means. What were you tested for? Were you tested for mycoplasma, rickettsia, lyme, bartonella, babesia, any intestinal infections or similar? Did you do a fecal test or just blood? Were your White blood cells counts indicative of normal, were your kidney and liver function normal. We have seen numerous people say everything was normal but that was far from accurate. Was you uric acid level checked? Were you checked for vitamin deficiencies such as B12 or D?
I'm sure you do deserve to be taken seriously. If you have the test results pop them up here and I'm sure people will make suggestions.

In my opinion (I have no medical background), your symptoms are NOT "a normal part of life." These are real symptoms that need to be investigated. The difficulty is that your symptoms are not common to ONE condition; your symptoms are common to MANY conditions. I echo the advice from Scott1. Start with the most common condition, test, and move on to the next possibility.
I have read estimates for vitamin D deficiency ranging anywhere from 70% to 95% in the American population. This deficiency could be involved in causing your symptoms. The vitamin D test (the "25-hydroxy D" test) is not yet a routine test – it must be specifically requested.
You are NOT a hypochondriac. In my opinion, there is no reason to wait until your symptoms are permanent. I am curious to know the actual number results of your vitamin D test.
