So confused
So confused
Back in 2011 I was in hospital for numbness of the right side of my body they diagnosed it as conversion disorder and since then I just thought that was the diagnosis for all my problems with my right leg. Recently I've been having severe lower back pain also. They say it's minor lumbar scoliosis but I still get numbness in my right leg along with other symptoms. I just feel like everywhere I go it's from one diagnosis to the next. What's wrong with me???
Re: So confused
Hello katieab93,
Did you ever ask how your Dr. or Drs. determined what you were experiencing was due to a Conversion Disorder. Did you have any testing to find a medical cause?
Conversion Disorder can cause all sorts of physical issues. Conversion Disorder is also known as Psychogenic and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), have you ever done any research on this topic? If you will read, with an open mind, it might help your understanding and be less confused.

Have you ever been evaluated by or considered seeking the help and advice of those in the mental health profession? Has Neurologist ever told you you might have Multiple Sclerosis? Have you had testing for MS?
