Cyberchondria
Can cyberchondria cause you to have the symptoms of those feared diseases like conversion disorder can?
Re: Cyberchondria
The answer is yes.
Researching symptoms and reading about different diseases can cause anxiety and fear about different diseases to the point of physically experiencing the symptoms. The best way to handle this and determine if this is the case for you is to see a Psychiatrist or even a Primary Care Physician for the prescription of anti-anxiety medications. It is also important not to research symptoms or medical conditions and let your Drs. determine what is wrong.
The medical profession is seeing more and more patients who look online for symptoms and/or diseases for which they do not have but have manifested symptoms Psychologically.

Re: Cyberchondria
Can the manifested symptoms occur suddenly?
Re: Cyberchondria
Yes they can. Have you had any testing done?
Re: Cyberchondria
All I've got done was the vitamin D & B12 blood tests.
Re: Cyberchondria
there's a lot more to the nutritional aspects of ms than those. esp if anxiety is playing into your scenario. i can see how someone would end up funneled onto those two alone however.
