Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
My son is having serious issues and we have been searching for someone trained to perform a Doppler study on him.
Please reply if you know anything.
Treated by Dake 10/19/09, McGuckin 4/25/11 and 3/9/12- blockages in both IJVs, azy, L-iliac, L-renal veins. CCSVI changed my life and disease.

they are absolutely legit. Do a good job, stay in touch with docs.
Good place to go now that the easy riders have forgotten the patients.

Re: Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
This is for my 16 year old son who has had episodic Vertigo his whole life. It became constant a year ago and the poor kid’s life has just stopped. He has been tested for everything vertigo related and has seen every specialist and has been given the diagnosis of vestibular migraine. His local doctor believes his jugulars may be compromised and wants us to investigate CCSVI in him. I think it’s remarkable that his doctor is so open minded and so invested in his care that he’s thinking outside the box. Next issue will be finding care if he has CCSVI. Are you still treating patients Dr. S?? We may need you! Please message me.
Thank you,
Rhonda

Re: Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
I hear ya Rhonda, but that article itself is a POS, like any of the establishment spokesholes, to hell with the science and lets go find a couple idiots like Arata and this other guy who were quick to hang a shingle and start charging up front. I personally knew 3 of Arata's patients long after the fact, the guy does not impress me in the least. Dr. Dake is an asshole too, regardless of whatever benefits I may still enjoy.magoo wrote:I just read this an I’m really discouraged. It seems like any doctor trying to perform CCSVI is being harassed and shut down. Is there anyone who can help people with CCSVI out there?

In the end however, I know that the science holds true, if applied correctly. Zamboni didn't do it,Dake is about Dake, and at some point in the future the truth will be known. Shoulder shrug.
They protect their own. Always. Thats the takeaway from this article.
Re: Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
pursue optimal self care at least as actively as a diagnosis
ask for referrals to preventive health care specialists eg dietitians
don't let suboptimal self care muddy any underlying diagnostic picture!
Re: Is CCSVI Atlanta legit???
The bottom line is that all commonly thought protocols including CCSVI seem to work well for some but not all. Considering you are dealing with an illness where about 70%-80% do well without doing much of anything, and that claims on most of all these 'cures' don't beat that percentage of success of the general MS population by much if at all, desperation for some will lead to a 'desperation mode' where people are willing to try anything regardless of the dangers (some of the protocols can have very serious consequences and even cause death in some cases).
There is a lot of information on CCSVI on this site including many claims of success and about as many claims of failure.
So is CCSVI good or bad and does it work or not?
Definitely maybe!
