Most supplements I know of appear to be simple replacements for holes in our diets. eg Tumeric / curcumin. To get the equivalent amount of curcumin, I would need to consume buckets full of curry. True, and vitamin D you can get more than adequate amounts of by working out of doors in a sunny climate. This doesn't do much for your skin, though.
