S.P.O.C. single point of contact

Post by Artifishual »

when i first talked to my dr about taking rituxan he said that my insurance more than likely would not pay for the drugs. he said we would go thru S.P.O.C. single point of contact they negotiate with insurance groups to help get you treatment. for me this too didn' work but worth talking to your dr. My dr was able to talk to genetech to get the drugs for me. i do not know how but he got them, for free. between me and my wife wo make well over six figures and these drugs aren't costing me anything. i haven't had an appointment with him since i started the drugs so i haven't had the oppertunity to ask. just thought i would share this with those about to or thinking about starting rituxan. i hope and pray that all you wonderful people rest well tonight, and may God bless you.

Artifishual,
I am also going through SPOC for drug replacement cost. Have you started the Rituxan? Have you had any side effects? Have you seen any changes? I am very anxious/nervous/scared/excited about this treatment because nothing else that I have tried has done anything for me except make my symptoms worsen. I would be interested in any comments/concerns you may have r/t Rituxan. Thanks...gabelle

check your messages! so far not much has changed. it has been a little to soon for me i think, who really knows how long it takes for change? i know this, i haven't gotten any worse as far as i can tell and i haven't had any flares so i guess its not that bad. also as far as reactions when taking the drug i only had minimum reactions that were taken care of with a shot of benedryl. nothing serious so don't be worried im sure it will all be fine , just have faith in God and pray that his will be done. let me know how soon you will start the treatment. i have undergone four treatments , once a week and then will undergo another treatment in 7 months unless my dr changes something when i go in next week. we will see. good luck and let me know if i can help you or if you have any more questions. thanks, arti
