At some point the impressive changes are going to slow down but always keep in mind that lack of progression is success and any reduction of symptoms has just been frosting on the cake.
And you earned your medical degree from which University?
Go Chris (and others)!

Reading about brain plasticity, plateaus of 6-12 months is not unusual. It's a period of consolidation as new neurons bed in the pathways, the path will be jagged but overall trend will still be up.
We'll have a 5 year reunion Chris, everyone is within 11 months of each other, should be quite a party.

The older I get (for which I am thankful), the less tolerant I am of BS. Sorry, it comes with age.Lyon wrote:Bad day huh?gwa wrote:And you earned your medical degree from which University?

I know where all the animosity comes from...
A large number of people have rested their hopes on something that, well, it may stop progression and slow it up for some, but not all. This seems to actually work on all, if there is a large number of activity.
Now, that being said, I don't mean this like it sounds, ( I am not this big a dick) but that airplane bitch or the other doofus you all scared off is a perfect example, if you put all your hope on something, and the guy next to you was not only on something else but actually getting better, well, you'd be hurt and pissed too.
I came off wrong in the beginning...but I do firmly believe if you are not actively trying to beat this disease you are settling for having it. I tried for Tovaxin, I couldn't get in. I tried 2 different CRABs and LDN. Nothing. I finally got the holy grail of MY MS and your damn right I'm going to shout it from a mountain top. I maintain there is no reason I am getting better and others are not as well. The more I talk the more you all will bug your doctors and the sooner you can all get something to work for the "rest of us."

Chris,
I know you are probably right but it is hard for me to believe that everyone wouldn't be happy for someone who is getting relief. There is certainly a Karmic element at work in all this. Help others, help yourself. It's the type A thing we all have to overcome. Maybe that is the lesson we are meant to learn.
Be Well,
Lars
