New from Britain, Diagnosed 5 years.

Post by westwood »

Have been reading this site, and will continue to do so, really informative. Dx 5 years ago and up until last Saturday worked and limped along ok. Woke up last Saturday and havent really been mobile since, agony to walk and not been to work. Really hoping I can get back to where I was at. My back hurts and I think lugging the dead leg around has taken its toll. I do have an FES foot insert but when the movement is this bad I really cant use it

So hello to everyone, wish no-one in the world had this disease but I suppose I have to wait and see and then re-think it all. Swore would never have a wheelchair but I think it would help and I am going to get one.

I am 42(nearly) years old. Used interferons for a while but side/effects were really awful. Hope maybe able to participate and help on the forums every now and then. Take care and may today but a good one for us all. :)

I don't know what a FES foot insert is but you might want to take a look through the Medical Devices forum where several people have discussed using a Walkaide or Bioness to help with footdrop.
