I'll have to look "dazed and confused" up. What comes to mind right off the bat is Led Zeppelin?

That is the name of a Led Zep song. But it's also a movie made in the early 90's about a bunch of 70's high school kids on the last day of school. It's actually a really good movie (2 very well-known actors made their start in this movie; I won't give it away). I read about the making of "Dazed and Confused," and the director put so much effort in to recreating the period, he only used songs that had been recorded up until date setting of the movie (June of '76). The movie wasn't huge when it came out, but now it's got a cult following.

That says it all for me today. Kinda feel like crab bait after buying a bunch of supplements that I have now found to be TOXIC. So I am grateful for the bucket of clams I have to clean... No Crab today... Peace Mark PS nothing better than a twisted sense of humor.

I don't love that genre particularly, but being from Dayton, I've seen them at numerous outdoor festivals and stuff like that simply by default. They are really pretty good. Believe it or not, we have a pretty good live music scene hear in Dayton. Guided by Voices, The Ohio Players (Fi..uh! Uh, Uh, Uh!), Hawthorne Heights, and a few others. I'm kind of stunned that you know about them. I didn't know they had any level of popularity past the immediate region. These guys are no spring chickens either!

He must run that auction on N. Dixie Drive. It's about 3 miles from my house. Hawthorne Heights' lead guitarist is the son of a close friend of our family. He is really good. When he was 16 he had a band called "A Day in the Life" and did nothing but Beatles covers. Very cool to watch a 16 year old start out with the Beatles. I don't know how he ended up in an EMO band though!! They just lost the other guitar player a couple of years ago; and it doesn't appear it was drug related, but he was a healthy 19 year old, so who knows? Next time you get down this way, let me know for sure and I'll take you out to get some grub!

If you like bluesy rock, then check out my buddy on http://ericjerardi.com. He is famous to the level of touring the country at places like all the House of Blues and BB Kings and Buddy Guys and places like that. Not an arena famous guy, but he is excellent. He had a full page in the Fender catalog as a featured artist and I think he is better than some of the folks who have made it big from Dayton, but he also spends a lot of time running his wine shop and chasing the almighty dollar. He has lots of music out on youtube and Itunes and that, so if you like that type of music, you'll love him. Last time we went to Chicago we watched him open for Little Feat at the House of Blues (a few years ago) and it was really fun. Little Feat has a new female lead singer, which I thought would sound weird but she was great. They still bring it big time live. I also saw him play with Trower there about 10 years ago. That guy is stilll a guitar hero.

Today I am grateful for something that would've sucked a few years ago. After a full week back at work, I realized I have lost quite a bit of endurance and as the week went on I really wanted it to be over; friday was very hard physically. However, after two weekend days that were totally normal in terms of activity level, I am back to where I was last Monday. So I get to look forward to another week of work and am grateful that I am looking forward to it and didn't get totally bummed and concerned that I might not be able to go in; which is how I would've looked at it a short time ago. And I am oh so grateful that I can still recover. That is very big to me right now. Let's just hope I last until Friday again!

And I also need to add a PS here. I don't want my attitude of gratitude thread to be misconstrued to mean I've come to the point where I'm at peace with my MS. I still hate this shit with every fiber of my being, and if it were a person I would kill it and hide the body after days of torture. I just felt like reminding myself why I feel the need to look for something positive all the damn time! I truly hate MS, but I love you guys; even Bob.....
