We make liquid LDN from Mexican Revia. The reason is that we don't live in USA, UK or Canada, and it is impossible to get here neither prescription, nor LDN from a compound pharmacy.
Recently my wife entered a bad exacerbation of old symptoms. After I sent a question about exacerbation while on LDN, I got a response from Dr. Skip at the Prokarin Forum

He writes, in particular, that one cannot rely on Mexican Revia. Does anyone have any comments? I especially would like to get opinions from other people making LDN from Revia.

Mexican Revia and exacerbation while on LDN
Hi, Arie. I have been really behind on my posting or I would have responded to you sooner. I have never used Mexican Revia for my son, but may have no choice soon, since our prescribing doc is no longer doing phone consults.
I can just tell you what I think on this. When I first started researching LDN over a year ago (and 6 months prior to my son starting to use it) I read alot on the pros and cons of mixing it yourself and ordering it from Mexico. I kind of did my own little mental survey and more or less determined that the people who were using the kind they mixed themselves did not seem to be doing as well as the ones who were having it compounded from pure naltrexone at a compounding pharmacy. From what I have been told, Mexico does not have the same laws governing their drugs and the manufacturing of their drugs that we do in the US. I also one read that there could be a problem with shelf life when you mix it yourself.
I hope that you can find a way to get it for your wife so that she can try the compounded LDN. Have you ever posted your problem on the large LDN support group on yahoo? Someone there might be able to help you. Here is the link:

I do understand that old symptoms can return, but not new ones. From what you said, this seemed like a pretty severe exacerbation for your wife, though. I wish you luck, and again, I wish I could be of more help to you. How is your wife doing now? Take care!

That is good to know. It makes me feel a bit better about it if I do wind up having to order it for my son. But I still believe that in my personal experience with the people I know using Revia and the people I know using professionally compounded LDN, the ones using LDN are the ones seeing better results and having less problems. Of course, that is only from my point of view, but I do know alot of people using both.

Thank you very much for your responses. I've also found that Mexican Revia is actually made in New York. We don't live in USA and we have neither prescription for LDN, nor a compound pharmacy here with any experience of making LDN. So we proceed in the same way.
Meantime the exacerbation (double-vision etc.) of my wife is slowly resolving. The LDN cannot be formally accused, for there were no new symptoms, and these symptoms did not appear worse than previously.
But it is still disappointing.
Nevertheless, I still don't see any better treatment.
