Is there anyone out there from Canada

Post by robbie »

I have been to my GP and have been told he is not comfortable prescribing LDN for my MS. I have had it now for 12 years and have graduated from R and R to SP. I was on beta interferon for 7 years but have recently stopped this treatment and am looking for others. LDN sounds like it's somthing that every one with MS should try. Wheather it helps or not it's somthing that the person with MS and i repeat the person with MS has to decide for him or her self. I have been unable to find any way of getting a script for this drug. Please any one that can help me tell me what to do! thanks rob. :(

Robbie, what country do you live in- or what state (If your in America) I'm sure it would be easier to help you out with that info.

There are lists of docs who scribe it, check out

www.ldners.org

Or get the Info Pack (check a post saying "Need help finding an LDN link")

It will give you a list of good pharmacies who make it, apparently they can direct you one way or another.

Good luck, perhaps someone else can offer more advice but there's a good starting point!

Compounding Pharmacy?

Post by MSandaVan »

Seeing as how Naltrexone is water soluble, I just obtained a prescription for Naltrexone 50mg. (told my Doc I never could get enough Heroin!) We then brainstormed, and came up with this plan.

Take 500ml distilled water, then crush one 50 mg tablet, add to water, shake vigorously. This gives 1 mg Naltrexone per 10 ml of water. So, if you want, 3 mg Naltrexone, all you need is 30 ml of water, or approximatly 1 Oz..

My doctor also felt this made the Naltrexone more bioavailable with less fillers! Than having capsules made up at a compounding pharmacy. Cheaper too!

You can also self-adjust by changing the amount of water.
