Ernst...have you got any help in Finland
Was just wondering if you have spoken to your doctors and if they were going to help your wife do any testing? My husband was tested with a doppler in Paris, but we haven't gotten any further yet.
At the moment no - but I believe in future YES. About month ago I even wrote long e-mail to leading ms-researcher, about CCSVI. I used whole day for that mail, cause I wanted that mail to be succesful.. and I quess it was, cause this leading researcher, told that this is very interesting and he was thankful, and even sent copy to another researcher. He told that he is gonna read carefully Zamboni-papers and then decides about possible continues.
My wife's neuro is man, that goes "by the book", is only interested what medicine next and behaves like brainless dictator. After couple of talks with him, I decided not to talk him - if I dont have to. My wife is in very good shape, no symptoms, goes running, etc. Her dx is 3 yrs old and since then we have been on best-bet-diet and lived very healthy life. And vitamind d about 125 mcg / day.
Back to CCSVI in Finland. I have been writing to biggest forum in Finland about this very important area. Thats why I have been here reading every day.. and asking questions like 6 yrs old
CCSVI has got lots of interest in that forum and I quess people are hopeful - that this leas to something BIG. And many have wondered that can they have MRV or dobblers from there jugulars or azygous veins. Some are gonna talk to their neuro's about this. Lets see what autumn and winter will bring - good things I quess. But Im very optimistic person

Yes, I find the general practioner is the best way to go...they seem to care more and are more open to new ideas, because they see the other ideas failing. The Doctor in Paris said that he thought the figures Zamboni gives in the Autumn will make all the difference, and then we might get some help in France.
My husband also does the BBD; your wife must miss the pulla, I know I do!!

No, but I had a half Finnish friend and went to visit her there one February. It was lovely. We were in Kokkola and then took a train to Rovaniemi...went to some sports town as well and cross country skied...almost killed me, even though everyone else was going past me like 50 times....and that was when I was fit. Must have been in 1989 or 1990. Well, I love that bread...her mother was a great cook as well, we all took lessons from her!
I wish to thank you Ernst that you have been feeding us to Finland the important info from here, it has gotten me to follow up also TIMS (of course I'm checking also finnish site). You are doing excellent work!
Actually I'm about to change my neurologist appointment time to be after the symposium in Italy, maybe we then have got some news from there (I'm hoping!
and I wish to discuss that during the appointment.

i find it so exciting that there is interest in so many countries in this, it causes me to believe that even if one country's health system shoots it down other country's will follow through....
The internet has leveled the field and it means great hopr for all of us here.
Thanks Ernst and all people speaking other native languages for struggling through our colloquial english and being here!!

I'm not offering medical advice, I am just a patient too! Talk to your doctor about what is best for you...

Internet is a wonderful thing! Data moves and somehow world is smaller. I still remember time before net and first time to use net (in local library).
Without net - I wouldn't know about Zamboni, or CCSVI, or Michale Dake, or you people here. Internet really shrinks the world, knowledge and information spreads fast, human to human and does't matter if you are on the other side of world. Ms is same everywhere - we have same enemy or same interest. I'm sure that the word about CCSVI continues to grow..and spreads faster than wind. Maybe in autumn this all will be in media, big time. And when it's on media, even more things begin to happen. We are living interesting times, I suppose.

Ernst, Your pictures are beautiful!! I'm not a cold-weather person, but your photos make me want to get right on a plane and see it all for myself.
While I'm here, though, I have to ask you something -- isn't Walkabout Creek in Australia, and of course the phrase "No Worries Mate" sounds Australian, too. Did I miss something?

Hohoooo.. that's my weird humour I quess. Maybe our little town, far away North is a bit similar as Walkabout Creek in Crocodile Dundee.. except we don't have crocodiles in here, just Icebears and reindeers.Needled wrote:While I'm here, though, I have to ask you something -- isn't Walkabout Creek in Australia, and of course the phrase "No Worries Mate" sounds Australian, too.
