Just bring a roll of TP with you in case you get lucky and nature calls!Bubba wrote:Constipation.... The Saga..... Well, I have been on the colonix now for a while with great results. However, tomorrow is my day off and I havent had a good'en (BM) in three days, even though I am still taking the colonix. So, my delima (sp) is this: I want to join some folks tomorrow for a three hour bike (motorcycle) ride. Do I gamble that there wont be a "build up explosion", or do I stay home and nervously pace the bathroom floor?

Very occasional, like once a month, Dulcolax will work for me. But regular stuff like fiber, magnesium, colon cleanse, none of it does anything. When your motility is so slow, nothing short of a heavy duty stimulant will actually 'create' a BM. I tried taking way too much Natural Calm (mag citrate) and it really made it sound like I was going to erupt, but nothing but a bunch of farting. I mean I took 4 tbsp. one time. I'll never do that again. I gave that stuff a 'two bottles worth' try and it never helped. I think it's just a question of the motility and how when it's slow it just sucks all the moisture out. When I go it sounds like someone dumping rocks in the toilet, no matter how much fiber I have eaten; regular food wise or Metamucil wise it simply doesn't work. So I eek out what I can and when it gets uncomfortable, I bring out the Dulcolax. Don't want to use that stuff too much because after it's not effective anymore, I'm going to have to invest in some OB/GYN forcepsEyeDoc wrote:For you guys that have constipation...do you find that an occasional laxative can help? Or does this progress so far that even that is no relief?

ALL the water is sucked out. Rocks in the pooper is exactly what it sounds like. It is usually so dry, it wont leave a mark on the TP! Now thats dry, I dont care who you are!!Loobie wrote: when it's slow it just sucks all the moisture out.
