My friend James at Stanford
My friend James at Stanford
Just got off the phone with my friend James and his awesome companion Kate. He has completed the full complement of tests and met with Dr. D. Sounds like his stenosis has topped the charts. Left side not working and right side, well lets say missing in action. Dr. Dake says the worst he has seen so far. Great news for James as his disability is high and reflects the diagnosis well. He goes in for repair at 0900. Please send your best wishes. He is a great man with two beautiful children, they need their dad back in action composing music and enjoying life. Our positive thoughts are with him. Peace and Health Mark and Brenda

The latest word from Kate is James will be staying another day or two. He was in a lot of pain last night and in a very week condition this morning from the rather extensive surgery in which Dr. Dake put in 5 stents. Kate spoke him about James and a little of what the future might bring. The short of it is Dr. Dake expects quite a remarkable recovery considering how severe James stenoses was. I will report more when I get to speak directly with James. Thank God he is OK and in the best of care. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Peace, Mark PS as I was speaking with Kate she noticed that Neil Young walked into the cafeteria. Not likely a lookalike. Told here to go say hi to one of my favorite singer song writers, how cool is this… M

I talked briefly with James this evening. He is doing alright, but quite tired from the whole ordeal and is staying another night at the hospital. It was a big relief to hear his voice. He sounded very optimistic about what the future may now hold. We didn’t talk much about the procedure. He just wanted to thank us for all the encouragement and support. Tomorrow after a good night sleep I am sure he will be ready to talk about the whole adventure. Rest well my friend. Peace, Mark
