Hey Cat,

It is okay to admit you feel crappy. That is what we are here for! Going to the grocery, walmart, and the drug store sounds like a pretty big day. Take care of yourself and ask for some help. (When it is my turn, I know we will have this conversation in reverse roles!) I appreciate your honesty in letting us know what you are going through. It would be terrible to go into this without knowing these things.

Hang in there my friend. I am thinking of you.

BP was 129/85 this morning. I took my Maxide and it is now 122/72. May need to find a natural diuretic. (Jimmylegs???)
sorry cat i haven't searched on my own name in a while, missed that question. unfortunately i have the opposite problem, my bp is 90/50. i have to drink plenty of water and hydrate hydrate hydrate.
if it's not ridiculously too late a reply, magnesium is supposed to lower blood pressure (too bad for me huh!), and obviously cut the salt intake if you havent already done so.. i will look for more stuff but another day :)

Afternoon everybody,

I am feeling pretty good. I have had a bit of a back ache last night and this morning.

I went to give blood for INR and ask for urinalysis since I have the back ache and found out I have another UTI. They took another specimen to send for culture. Another round of Cipro for me.

I blame the Tysabri for the UTI's this is 2 in 6 weeks. The pharmacy was cautioning me about Cipro and Coumadin and I know the risk but what do you do. Get septic over the UTI or try and take the Cipro. The Dr knows I am taking Coumadin, he the one checking my INR......

I will know my INR in the morning and the results of the culture on Thursday.

I feel clearer minded and think if I was not on Coumadin and didn't have a UTI, I would feel really clear headed.

Better days ahead,

Hi All,

Feeling even better today despite the UTI.

My INR is 2.3 woohoo!! :) :)

Now if we can just keep it there with the 2.5mg and 5 mg on alternating days.

Would love to get outside but it has rained here non-stop for 7 days and weather shows rain again for the next 7 days.

Better days to come!! 8) 8)

Love reading all of your posts Cat. It's a lot to go through, give yourself time to heal and rest. I'm glad you are feeling better and hope it continues :)

Does anyone know how to get a hold of Cat? She hasn't posted in 10 days which is very unusual.

Hi everybody,

I am doing pretty good these days. Sorry I haven't posted as much. Been spending time with my hubby watching some movies in the evenings after work. Catching up on all the flicks we missed over the last 6 months.

Having a hard time getting to sleep at night and that makes for a hard time getting up in the mornings. Finally over the UTI. I go back Monday for a check of my INR and I'm hoping it is still good.

I am guilty of spending too much time on facebook. I am hooked on Mafia Wars. My son Chris got me started and I am very, very competitive.

If I am not here I am there or working.

Better days ahead!! :) :) :)

Worse thing we ever got was a laptop, my wife spends all night sitting on the couch working on her dang farm!!! We will be watching TV and every so often she will make a comment like she is actually paying attention, I laugh to myself knowing she isn't. The other day she was explaining to my daughter how all her corn needed harvesting but she wasn't sure of she wanted to go to the effort of getting her harvester out, and then having to pay for gas!
I just told her how everybody was worried about Cat but she has been busy on Facebook with the mafia game and my wife just laughed!

What a great day!! :) :)

I got up at 6:30 (very reluctantly) got ready and went to my niece's house. She and my sister-her mom and I went to Memphis for her final fitting of her wedding dress. OMG!!! How beautiful she was in it. It was perfect, so we loaded it up and then went to Stein Mart and shopped, went to Carrabas and had an awesome meal, then went to Dillards and shopped some more. One the way home stopped for a Iced Latte at Starbucks. Got back to her house at 6:30 and I feel great. I am usually dragging my left leg a bit (ha) about halfway through a day like today and I am not!!!

This is such a blessing to have a day like today! I have been waiting for this. Now lets see how I feel tomorrow...
