If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Need suggestions for blood panel

Post by fernando »

Hi,

I'm going to visit my neuro next monday for arranging my LP and I would like to ask him for some blood tests.

My list:

homocysteine,
selenium,
alpha-tocopherol (vitamin e).
all the b vitamins ,
vit d (don't remember what kind),
vit a,
calcium,
magnesium,
zinc,
uric acid,
iron (ferritin)

(Taken from a post by Jimmylegs)

Please, feel free to suggest anything to add or change.

Thank you very much

hey there f, your list looks pretty good!
i don't know if homocysteine is a high priority.. i've had it done but it was early in my learning curve and i have not found a reason to repeat it.
the rest are all great to know, and the d3 you want is
25 hydroxyvitamin d3 ... also written as 25(OH)D3.
b12 is the best known of the b complex, to have relevance to ms, but if you can get the whole complex done, super.
