Hello TIMS!
My name is Arieh, I'm 27, and I'm living in Montreal, Canada, for the moment. In 2006 I moved to Israel in no small part because I was struggling for many years to complete my undergraduate degree, and I thought that my own stubborn behaviour might change if I were doing something else. It did, but that was when I began to notice other things happening to me (loss of sensation, tingling, loss of coordination, fatigue) that eventually led me to a neurologist and to being diagnosed with MS.
How long have I had this? How much has it affected me? What is a symptom, and what is something else entirely? When I had swollen sinuses, was my trouble breathing because of the cold I had, or because I was in middle of an attack, or both? Is this crazy diet doing anything? What about these pills I'm taking?
I am sure those questions are familiar to all of you. If not those exactly, then similar enough. Readi8ng through the forums today, I found this to be a friendly place, with well informed participants who are eager to help each other. I still have an able mind, and I have connections in the medical world I suspect might allow me to contribute, but I am in need of help. Please, help.

Welcome Arieh,
You are right, this is a friendly place to be. I am sorry life has landed you here, but really, here is a pretty good place! There are so many nice and smart people here, I know you will find the support and encouragement you need.
Again, Welcome!
Beth

So you live in Israel? I recently visited there and loved it...I felt so well when I was there (Probably because I did a lot of walking and got lots of sunshine)
I am sorry you have MS but you have come to the right place to inform yourself. Check out all the forums... the hot forums are the CCSVI one and the general forum (they seem to be the most busy)

Oops - no, I don't live in Israel anymore. Between the effects of the heat, the end of my military career, and with that the end of any political prospects, I found there was little practical reason to stay, as much as I loved living there. My prospects are better in North America, and since my family is in Montreal, this is my first stop. I'll have to re-evaluate where to live in June.
