At this time if you donate online you can not designate CCSVI Research because it is not set up as an option. They are hoping to have it up and running soon. You can, however, phone them after you make the donation and they will designate for CCSVI research :)

I was thinking that the MS Societies should donate the full amount needed for the start-up at UBC. The public (even if they want to throw their money away) has done enough for MS. More than enough.
This amount would be a war crimes compensation amount for harming and killing thousands of people over the years through their subterfuge in maintaining the myths and mysteries of MS.
When extermination campaigns happen to people there is usually an accounting. Families who have lost their loved ones to the created illness of MS should get an apology in the form of a fund to educate and help others. The dead would want to help their peers.
There was a reason why the causes and cure of MS have been buried all these years. Whatever it is, doesn't matter. The fact is that CCSVI has been known for 60 years and kept a secret for political, social and financial reasons.
The eagerness on this board to giddily hand over money to UBC, although understandable, is helping the wrongdoers get away with more and more.
Demanding that the MS Society pony up the $500,000 in the names of their dead victims, will also protect the living. It will show you have some guts and some backbone and they won't try to stiff you again.
The rate that this giddiness is going I can just feel more exploitation a-brewing. Shysters can't resist willing people! They take your money and say you liked it.
Take a lesson from them now. Thay made you hungry and played hard to get for the CCSVI treatments so that they could hide that they have known about it for 50 years, so you do the same.
Play hard to get yourselves and don't froth quite so much with gratitude. They are giving you something that is yours anyway.
You slow them down now. Tell them you have dead friends you have to do right by. This is the true stuff of heaven but they don't have to know that. (They'll laugh at you anyway because they don't believe in it).

My husband and I donated the amount we were going to spend on an MRV at False Creek Surgical to the UBC CCSVI research. We figured we would rather move the research forward than sit at home knowing I had blocked veins (or not) but still being no closer to having access to treatment in Canada.
UBC is going after some corporate donors, so this should help bring the total up quickly when combined with all our private donations. A company pays hundreds of thousands of dollars to have its name on the boards at a hockey rink... is it really a hard decision to make to support something that affects 1 in 500 people (and many more if you count friends and family who are also involved)? I am making sure every executive I know is aware of the need for research funding.
