I went to this lecture tonight and the speaker was a neurologist from The University of Washington. Prior to this lecture, I got her name and sent her an email with all of the CCSVI info so she knew what some of the audience was looking for.
Her lecture was all about upcoming drugs with awful side effects! I wasn't impressed.
A person in the audience at the end asked if she knew about CCSVI and she pulled out the email and said she is very familiar with it. I raised my hand and asked her if the U is planning on participating in research and she said no, her neurology department is not. I asked her about the cardiology department showing interest and she said no again!
This is supposed to be a leading teaching university. What are they teaching...abacus!

I'm not surprised with the response. I certainly like how you went about
approaching this Neurologist , Sandy. No ambushing. Well done. You have
represented the CCSVI group in a classy way.
As we all know , the Neuro's have laid claim -to-the brain.
They don't want to share.
There is far too much positive information on CCSVI and the people advancing it , to be discouraged at all.
I just read the NMSS message re CCSVI on their website. Wow.
For those that have been following this incredible journey for the last year , this NMSS message is incredible.
It will be interesting to see the ratio of Neuro: Vascular investigators that are applying for research funding. I think both will be needed.
