annbbe,

Have you had your diagnostics ? And did they find some venous problems ? It is so neat that you met someone from TIMS at Dr Simka's clinic !!

Hi, my both veins are blocked. Well, the left one is totally blocked, there's no blood flow & the right one is better, the blood COULD flow, but it doesn't. Something like that.
Dr. Simka told me that it's not job for stents, he think simple balooning may help.

And..truly, I started to believe in CCSVI. Left part of my body is weak. My left hand/leg doesn't work as it should (aaaanddd...total blockage where?---->in the left vein!)

Its not as simple as that. The right side of your vein controlls the left side and vice versus.
22 yr old male located in the caribbean. Suffering with MS like symptoms from early 2008 with multiple relapses under my belt with optic neuritis. Not dx'd as yet however. Hope is to ultimately be tested for CCSVI

I am not sure if you're right. That is the way it works with our brain, but in case of veins...?

Well...it doesn't seem to be like that (i 'll check it)

Hi annbbe

I have a similar problem. My left vein is collapsed (according to dr Simka), and my left side is my bad side. Dr Simka told me that the left-side vein problem matched perfectly with my optic neuritis on my left eye - along with my left-leg problems.

it is an interesting topic, because the left IJV drains the left part of the brain which is responsible for the right part of the body (and for the left part of the head)

am i wrong?

I've heard similar statements before - I'm just not sure what to believe. Maybe it's not as simple as that. I know what Simka told me - that the left jugular stenosis corresponded well with my weak left side.

This sounds weird. Left side weekness should correspond to an ms lesion somewhere in the spine (cervical or thoracic) and less often somewhere in the brain. Vein anomalies causing weekness....?

Well - weakness - primarily I have the optic neuritis. I have also had some problems in my back, and with my left leg. But dr Simka responded to the ON on my left eye.

ahh okay... that sounds better if we only talk about your eye... because your left eye is controlled by your left side brain. but your body is crossed

Hi annbbe,

Thanks for moving out the way to let me pass
Yes that was me trying to walk while staring at the floor :D
I wish I had know it was you as remember we made eye contact briefly.
But it was so busy at the clinc without shouting out your name I could'nt be sure. :D
Happy to hear you will be getting treatment sometime in March and look forward to reading about it

Best wishes
