CCSVI Bulgaria:computer tomography (CT) instead of MRV

Post by costumenastional »

In the generic text Dr Grozdinksi sends to patients as a reply concerning CCSVI diagnosis and treatment these are the tests to take place:

# Echo-doppler of the venous system.
# Computer tomography (СТ) – phebography of the veins.
# Phlebography of vena cava, vena jugularis and vena azygos.

I wonder if CT is enough of a test compared to an MRV. Prof. Grozdinsky is a top scientist in phlebology but i am worried of going to Bulgaria and having a non complete exam. Not that i have a date, just saying...

I had CT twice in Slovakia with contrast but it was negative.
So maybe...

Thanks Erika. This says it all i guess...
Can you please write which test was the one that confirmed your blockage?
I have a feeling that many people will read this post.
Have a nice day.

Only MRV in Zabrze in Poland because they use Haacke´s protocol.
Of course I had Doppler with Dr. Kostecki and Dr. Simka in August 2009.

I spoke to Dr Dake, and he actually recommended I get a CT from the top of my head to my diaphragm, over an MRV, as the CT was less operator dependent. I chose not to go with the CT after reading the radiation component (I have already had a CT of my lungs before)

Thank you CureOrBust.
This is somewhat comforting as Dr Dake knows what he is talking about.

CT Vs MRV

Post by mags4short »

I was interested in this thread as I thought that maybe I could go to Bulgaria a little sooner than to Poland, but after reading Erika's reply I am a little concerned.

Has anyone else had a CT as opposed to MRV, if so what were the results?

Thanks Mags

Hi All.

Spoke to Dr Grozdinski this morning, seems like a lovely guy and told me to shoot him over an email.

Eagerly awaiting his reply. Mentioned a date in June so will keep you updated.

Is their anything i need to know regarding Bulgaria, as it seems above a few of you are talking about different types of scans etc...

Thanks all!

I sent an e-mail yesterday. Hope I hear sooner than from Poland. I sent them on Dec 13 and still haven't heard.
