Hi Guru,

Let me say again, WOW. Have you spoken to your IR yet? What have you learned?

I'm just an MS'er with absolutely NO medical background, but it looks to me like your veins on your right side are barely there.

I had a discussion with a friend today on the subject of what happens if the veins up higher in your brain are the issue. Wow... Can they fix them in the brain???

guru ,
I'm from Holland (so exuse my poor language)
I was in Frankfurt to have my mri the outcome was pretty much the same as yours only on the left side.
Dr. Vogl did not see any stenoses but a day later another Dutch patient
went and had also the same results , and( to my surprise )he did have a doppler scan on the same day and guess what.. they found a problem ,
i dont know how its called but the aterie that provides the blood was pressing on the jugular !

I hope you understand my poor explanation, but it gave me hope that there was indeed a problem in the veins that maybe can be fixed.

greets from holland

Hi Lora,

Prof. Reichenbach (Uni. Jena Germany) doing a pilot study of 10 patients, I am one of them, This study is a part of Prof. Haacke´s study. That´s why Its take a long period to get results. But hopefully with in one week they tell me whats wrong with my veins :)

In MRVs left is right and right is left (image is reversed). Alice in Wonderlandish... :)

your MRV looks just like mine (though in my case the left side is th problem). My radiographer has reported that there is a stenosis at the junction of the internal jugular vein and transverse sinus. Looking at an anatomy pic...this location is just below the brain. I will discuss my results and treatment options with a vacular specialist on Wednesday. I've been posting regularly in the "Aussie Action" thread, as I've navigated my way through the local medical system.
