Clinical trials for vein stents

Post by frodo »

I thought there was a thread speaking about this, but I cannot find it anymore. If this is repeated, please remove

The one that google will tell you first is called FLAIR, made by a company named Bard, and as far as I know, is the only one FDA-approved at this moment:

Maybe it could be possible to push this kind of companies companies to certify their stents for yugulars and azygous veins.

Thank you. Quite interesting, but even if there are vein-approved stents, they seem to be for coronay problems.

I would like to write to somebody in Abbott propossing a yugular stent trial. I have checked their web page, and I have found the whole list of managers, but I don't know exactly how a company works.

Whom would you write? Who has the power to decide on such a thing?

I would target these two. Ashley because his role is developing new business and Capek because he is in charge of medical devices (as opposed to pharmaceuticals) which likely includes stents.

Richard W. Ashley
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development

John M. Capek, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Medical Devices
