How safe is Ballooning?

I recently viewed the video of a ballooning performed in Australia (http://www.thisisms.com/ftopicp-97651.html#97651). While watching the balloon get bigger and bigger, it made me realise that the veins are being "stretched". I can not remember anyone post on the extent that a balloon can be used (there must be a limit), before you risk bursting the vein? and does that "stretching" do any damage?

If I read it right, the ballooning was actually performed at the point of a valve. That's gotta do something?

Yes, I watched the other vids, where the gal shows the balloon, and have to say that I was a bit shocked at the size of it. Still, our bodies can take a lot of "abuse", and do well. I would think that there is some pretty intense musculature in the neck, so perhaps those kinds of forces are not inadvertent. I was interested that the surgeons called for a heavier-duty balloon than had been anticipated.

It's probably a good idea to pack in Vit E8, MSM, etc. before any interventions, to keep the collagen stretchy.

Of course, the balloon damages the wall. It is designed to do so, anyway. It breaks all smooth muscle fibers to fix the malformation. And you have to take anticoagulants for some time after the surgery to prevent blood clots from occurring on the damaged wall.

Do not worry. The surgeons knows how much a vein should be stretched. Well, I hope so...
