Pre Tysabri Energy Slump
Pre Tysabri Energy Slump
Since I started using Tysabri I have been regular as clockwork getting my infusion every 4 weeks. I have heard of some people having a slump a few days prior to the infusion. I have never suffered such a slump but I have had to defer my next infusion by a week and I am wondering if anybody has experienced any extra symptoms or slump having deferred their infusion?
Pre Tysabri Energy Slump
Hi Gymbuff,
I have had 30 Tysabri infusions, and have never noticed a pre infusion slump. (Although I have read many people's accounts of fatigue & other symptoms in the week prior) At least 2 or 3 times I have had to postpone my infusion by a week, and did not notice any difference. I also do not feel any side effects from the infusion itself, the day of, nor on the following days. Maybe I am the exception, but hopefully others on Tysabri will chime in. I know that I was anticipating having these problems, but have never experienced them. Since you have not noticed anything thus far, maybe you will also be one of the lucky ones.....Hope this helps....

So glad to hear that! Tysabri has been a Godsend for me. It stopped my steady decline in it's tracks. I am now looking at CCSVI developments with hope in my heart, and am so grateful that Tysabri is keeping me stable in the meantime.
My two adult children also have MS and are doing great on Betaseron and Rebif, but I was having 4 relapses a year on the interferons. Tysabri has given me my life back! Glad to know you are also doing well with Tysabri!

Thanks....yes, it's tough, but we're okay. My son and daughter are each happily married, and we have our first grandchild, 18 months old. I think we
treasure the "normal" times more, because we have been through the dark downs of MS, and right now, "Life is Good". I would, of course, love to see us all off these meds someday. That's why I am watching the CCSVI forum (a bit obsessively!!)....and hoping to get tested someday. For me, the benefits of Tysabri outweigh the risks, and I'm happy to be stable. (over two years of stability is such a luxury, as I'm sure you know!)
