Disappointing Article in Victoria Times Colonist
Here is an article I came across this morning, regarding a radiologist on the island and 2 MS patients from Vancouver I believe??? Any chance they are on here?
The part that especially irritates me is when they talk about how the radiologist was tricked by the patients who wanted their veins opened up to treat swelling in their body...then he found out they were MS patients (gasp!) and realized he had been fooled! How ridiculous. To deny someone treatment for blocked veins BECAUSE they are MS patients has got to be criminal...hasn't it?!?!

Wow... I can't believe this... This is outrageous.
Is this Canada I live in... Or a nazi state that persecutes MS patients.
They should be ashamed of themselves, and I hope they revoke their licenses...

Does anyone know of a specific example of this? Maybe "people in the know" say this, but I wonder what non-drug/vitamen treatment has actually unwittingly caused harm. Wouldn't it be great if a reporter, in response to this statement, said, "Oh really, like what?"."The medical literature is replete with seemingly benign treatments, which you figure, 'Oh well, why not try it if it helps,' which in fact did harm," said Weinerman.

Medical Gestapo
Do we have a Medical Gestapo in Canada. Sure looks like it. The SS has moved from the Quebec College of Physicians to Vancouver Island now.

Are they acting on behalf of the Neurologists or CMA/AMA?
It certainly gives ammunition for us class-action wannabes.
