If there is no reflux but say the jugular is 80% blocked I should think one would leave it alone if the body managed to efficiently reroute the blood. Anybody experience this?
Another reason we need experience when they look for reflux.

I don't think this situation can exist. If a vein is dropping from full size down to 1/5th of its size (80% blocked) then there is a lot of blood that needs rerouting. It's the same as going from a five lane highway down to a one lane highway...1/5th of the cars will get through, but the rest are going to be waiting their turn or going back up to get off on some side road...
If the vein only had as much blood as could fit through that 80% blockage, the rest of the vein should be the same size as well...veins are pliant...
