MRA/MRV and normal results?

Post by msryydg »

I am new to this whole thing... My doctor in NYC is trying to do MRA/MRV studies on as many of his patients as possible. I had it done 2 weeks ago and the results were normal. I should be disappointed right? He said that the vast majority of his patients have had normal results. Should I be taking this further or are the MRA/MRV results usually conclusive?
Thanks for the help!!

It seems there are a few doctors in the world who find CCSVI in almost every patient they see. I am sure people on this forum will give you their names if you are interested. You will get plenty of online answers from the internet experts but I would trust your doctor although getting a second opinion can never hurt.

Since I found out he is trying to get as many patients as possible to get the study done, I wondered if I was out of the ordinary. He knows Dr. Siddiqui and decided to try and convince his patients to get the MRV while they are doing the annual MRIs. He said he has not been finding alot of patients with it. The question is do I get a doppler or a venogram or anything else done or does this test mean that I do not have it?

the buffalo study used only mrv didnt it? They found ccsvi in about 60% of people. You need to use venography to see more.

Any idea of how many people who have normal MRVs have had things found in their venograms? Is it worth it to pursue?
