Research shows no link among CCSVI and development of MS
Research shows no link among CCSVI and development of MS
Although I believe these study results were released a couple of months ago this article was recently printed in the Annals of Neurology journal. There should be more research results forthcoming.

Of course more research is needed, but properly done. Using MRV and measuring flows during Valsalva only ridicules their research and conclusions...
Ah! I have done some research too. I found no difference in blood flow in:
1. people with MS hanging with the head down from a pine tree
2. dead people with MS
My data suggests that CCSVI does not and will never exist.

Once again Sou I encourage you to read the "seven warning signs of quackery". Any of it sound familar? http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRel ... signs.html
As I have said before a scientific breakthrough should be getting easier to prove over time, not more difficult. That said I am glad Buffalo is doing a large SCIENTIFIC study that hopefully will give us some more answers.

Scorpion, you have confused things a little.
Claiming that CCSVI does not exist is completely different than saying that we don't know the relation of CCSVI to MS. The article you posted refers to research that could not even detect CCSVI.
Why did I find that I suffer from CCSVI? At least for me, it exists and I have seen it with my eyes (through X-rays, of course) Since I have found out that it does exist, what should I do about it? Should I change my mind and say: "Well, since those very agile and respected scientists say that it does not exist, it must be some problem with my eyes and the X-ray tube."

And you have ?
As usual .... you are looking for any chance to diminish the CCSVI -MS connection in spite of numerous encouraging reports - professional and patient reported alike.
And by the way ..... it is Dr. Haacke not Mr. Haacke as you have recently posted .
I am disapointed in you , as of late.
Please use your superior research skills .... and high IQ ..... in a more responsible manner.
I haven't read any great research nor well thought out questions from you PX ..... in a long time ...... only sarcastic and demeaning short comments.
Are you okay ? Something has changed in you. And I am concerned for you .
Yes .... I got up on the wrong side of the bed today .....
Mr. Success

Its one thing to say that researchers findings are flawed as far as CCSVI goes, and something else to say that someone like Zamboni, Sclafani, Sinan ... are all quacks ... only someone with a mentality of Freedman or Rose can make such statements ...scorpion wrote: Once again Sou I encourage you to read the "seven warning signs of quackery". A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it

The authors of the German study (Doepp, et al) used Valsalva testing to measure jugular valve incompetence, in addition to the 5 tests used by the Zamboni group. They do not consider the tests done with the Valsalva maneuver when reaching their conclusions regarding CCSVI in their study subjects.measuring flows during Valsalva only ridicules their research and conclusions
