Hello My first post

Just wanted to say HI

I am a 48 yr old female I have had ms for about 23 yrs now. I have one daughter.
I am an animal lover, mostly dogs.
I used to really enjoy working in the yard. I have had to limit that now. I live in TX so the heat limits a lot of it for me.

I am not really on any meds at this time. I have been on most of the injectables.
C is my current but am nearly out of places to inject.
I am very interested in the CCSVI.. not sure if I would be ready to take that plunge and can't finance that any way.

The newer drugs are looking very scary to me.. Just wanted to say hi

welcome. If you do not like injectables, there are other treatments on here found by people to help. I myself am on Statins (Lipitor), and there is LDN & ABX's to name a few.

As for the CCSVI, I had my first treatment a few weeks ago, just ballooning, and it really was no biggy. And I'm a big sissy.

Can I ask how your doing after your ballooning? I do take homemade ldn.
My neuro no longer scripts it. He says he did not find it effective.
So I just do it myself.
Any ideas if the surgery is covered under medicare

I am being very cautious about saying either way. I have noticed improvements, but not as much as some others.

If you feel it is helping, why not get your GP to script it. Thats how I got it. NB: did not work for me.

If you are from Australia, and are asking about the Govt run Medicare, then yes. It was totally covered as far as the actual surgery goes. The ultrasound for referral was partially covered.

Thanks for being honest as to the improvements. I am looking for a way to put something in the profile area.
I haven't mastered this yet.
I am from the USA. I am not on Medicare.
But was asking for a friend who is that just won't ask.
He is not on any treatment right now.
He really won't do anything unless it is paid for. I think MS has taken quit a toll on his pocket book.
Which it has most of us, last time I checked. Having ms was not a paying occupation.
But he does not computer much any more either.
I have several friends.. Medicare only.
