Dr. Kirsty Duncan

Dr. Duncan was moved to veterans affairs. Rewarding her hard work on your file.

However, before you react, remember, she did do a hell of a lot, and maybe is a little tired. I still think she would make a better PM than MI or SH. But maybe veterans affair needs her too. (sob...)

Dr. Kirsty Duncan serves a critic of the Veterens Affairs, but she's not leaving her current MP position, one eye...
She's still on the medical advisory panel, according to her website.

“All week, Liberals asked Minister Blackburn in Question Period whether or not the recently announced enhanced benefits for seriously injured soldiers returning from Afghanistan will be retroactive to 2006, and all week he has outright refused to give a straight answer to the public in the House,” said Liberal Veterans Affairs Critic Kirsty Duncan.

“What else are we to conclude from this, other than that this government is once again failing our veterans? Is it possible that veterans who have lost limbs or sustained serious injuries in Afghanistan since 2006 won’t get retroactive compensation under this new program?” asked Dr. Duncan.

I suspect Dr. Duncan will continue to strongly advocate on our behalf. And, with the deplorable way disabled veterans and the Veteran's Ombudsman are being treated right now, Dr. Duncan's drive and tenacity will be put to good use.

Have to agree with Blaze, this lady puts her heart into her job. As to her work on CCSVI, I don't think the move will change anything, she will continue as an M.P., and her sister (I Believe) still has M.S. and the good Doctor wants her to get treated.
