acid/alkaline

Post by zinamaria »

Gordon,

Good find, and a reminder....all fruits turn acidic when cooked.
By the way, the alkaline/acid stuff has been brought up here before...so don't be bummed if your thread does not take off, also, you might want to take it to the nutrition forum.
But thanks for posting it, and the only thing that really surprised me was the baking soda.
Just as a side note, most gyms in America (in other countries as well) not only sell all those sugar loaded 'health' drinks, they even sell candy, they also sell those 'health' bars tht are filled with bad fats, sugar and high sodium etc etc....

okay, that was my bit,

Hey Gordon,

Caution with the baking soda. Talked with a nutritionist who advised against it, and I had to agree, too disturbing to the necessary acid in stomach for digestion...however, an alkaline diet is failry easy to achieve with food, for proper phbalance. That's the short of it but felt like posting a warning.
