Optic Nueritis?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Optic Nueritis?

Post by TracyK »

Hello,

I have only been diagnosed for about 6 months and I am on Copaxone. I have only ever had trouble with my limbs, but today my vision in my right eye is blurry. Mildly so but enough to be causing a headache and I noticed I can see very clearly in both eyes when in the dim light of the parking garage.

I dont know enough about Optic Nueritis to know if this sounds like the possible onset of it. I dont want to rush into calling my nuero as I have done that so many times I feel like a new mom going to the ER everytime her baby coughs. I was hoping for some insight before calling in.

Thank you so much for your support on this website! I dont post often, but I appreciate having this resource to read.

Thank you,
Tracy

When I had optic neuritis, it was like my glasses got steamed over as though I had just opened a hot dishwasher that had just finished its cycle except that the cloudiness only occurred in one eye and it didn't go away. IV steroids helped initiate recovery of my vision, though my eye remained heat sensitive for almost a year afterwards and colors did not appear as intense through that eye compared to my other one. Now, many years later, I no longer have problems with my and it seems to have fully recovered.
