Symptom Improvements

Post by npost999 »

I know I have read about many of the improvements some are experiencing following angioplasty & seen the videos of folks walking better. But I wanted to see how many people have seen changes in their bladder issues, had improved sleep & less fatigue. Also, I've heard some people have better heat intolerance, but I'm curious what type of heat we are talking about. I'm from South Texas and the heat there is unbearable to me due to the temperature and humidity. I'm just wondering if I'd be able to handle the heat better after the procedure along with seeing improvements on the bladder etc. side of things.

Thanks in advance for any & all posts.

Other than checking out the tracking threads on this forum, you could check this: http://www.ccsvi-tracking.com

Hi,
In my case since my angio last Oct 30, I have seen many but subtle changes though one I find a very good change is with bladder control. Before when I had a beer or wine glass at or before supper I sensed the urgency within 15 or so min. and now I feel my bladder control as a normal person. For heat intolerance it is hard to explain since here in Canada it is getting more and more on the freeze side and to this I think my position has not changed too much. My feet feels cold but we have 6 more months of winter ahead then the heat will be felt and we shall see.Hopefully better I hope.
So there a glimpse of hope but definitevely a bit better symptoms managements.

Take care and do believe that the angio is beneficial from a person that experienced it.

Yes, bladder problems (never big) completely resolved, fatigue vastly improved, heat intolerance not present even in the hot summer (we have a continental climate here; hot days are hot, thought not Texas hot - but the hot days have been hard to endure for years and years, and post-liberation I hardly noticed the heat at all.

Thanks for the info & I especially like to hear that about the bladder! I've not had a drink in several years and I miss having a beer from time to time, but I feared the effects it would have on the bladder.

I'm in the works with a local IR to get the angio, but also on the major lists around the country if this falls through.

One other symptom I forgot to ask about is spasticity, anyone seem any improvement in this? I'm on Baclofen & if I could get off most or all drugs I'd be a happy guy.
