Pain.... T.E.N.S device

Post by Mechanicallyinclined »

Is anyone familiar with T.E.N.S devices? The are low electric frequency devices to relieve pain and stimulate muscles. I tried one and it seems to help with the pain. My question.... are these things okay to use for PWMS?Any thoughts?

TENS send electrical pulses to the muscles. High frequency (90-120 Hz) relax the muscles, low frequency (2-10 Hz) make them contract. I use such a device and it really helps with back and other muscular pains. it is a natural painkiller that acts on the cause and not the symptom. AFAIK, they are perfectly safe if used as instructed.

Thanks Sou
I've just started using it and it does seem to help. I just wasn't sure on the safety aspect of this as it pertains to MS. I appreciate your response.
