Maybe its just me, but I think I have noticed a trend among the liberated, that shortly after the liberation they get a nasty flu, bug, cold, or infection of some sort. Here's a interesting theory....the reflux of the blood does not allow infections to clear out from the brain. These infections never should have crossed the BBB in the first place, and the immune system around the brain really doesn't know how to handle them, so besides iron, we have another agent to confuse the immune system.
After liberation, blood flows properly and all the infection that was in and around the brain now flows into the body, where the immune system DOES know how to handle it. So shortly after liberation, the patient gets sick, (during which time some of the benefits may disappear because the body is busy fighting off the infection), but once the sickness is gone, the benefits return.
Does any of that make sense?
CCSVI and the flu....

I got a really bad infection that got progressively worse a few weeks after liberation and I became almost totally paralysed. I've been better for about a week and a half but haven't got all my improvements back. I'm possibly very slightly better than I was pre liberation. It was worth a try though.

In late October I went for my first Ultrasound to see if I met the criteria for CCSVI. I did.
But I also returned home will the flu, a fever, chills, a middle ear fluid infection and a UTI. I haven't had the flu since 1969, and I don't do Flu shots.
I did stay overnight in a crummy hotel, unknown at the time of booking. It looked good upon first view but was dirty in the bathroom and had not been cleaned in a while. Dirty air filters in heating unit, bath fan not working because blocked with dirt, and even the hair dryer was blocked up. Last room available, someone else got mine. Long story and got freebie.
I did stop in rest areas on the road many times for my normal multi-pit stops. So I picked the bug up before the procedure in Dec.. The virus went bacterial so I needed anti-b's.
True, that after the procedure, I did have a my sickness re-occur and needed Anti-b's again. But different hotels were involved, that were clean. Hmm Interesting theories.
I wonder if it was, unknown to me, mental stress lowering my bodies defense mechanism? I say this because my DH did not get sick at all.

I had a very bad flu/cold a few days after my treatment. I only traveled a few hours by car for my treatment, and I rarely get sick. My initial improvements disappeared shortly thereafter. I dismissed this illness as coincidence, but it's curious that other people are reporting the same thing.
Have other liberated patients experience flu-like symptoms after treatment? And if so, did they see their MS symptoms improve or worsen?
