She had the liberation procedure done in Bulgaria in June. Since then, she’s had two ultrasounds done, one at an MS clinic in Barrie, Ont., and another in Arizona, that showed a blood clot, which she would like treated in Alberta, her home province. The doctors there have told her they can't do anything about it.

Yes they can. They can put her on blood thinning regimen such as Coumadin as has been done for other patients. They could do a catheter venogram procedure to see if the guide wire can get past the clot which would mean it's not completely obstructed and can be ballooned. If this is not possible from the usual femoral entry point, they can do a rendez-vous procedure and attempt to get past the clot from an entry point high in the neck. I know this...you are telling me IRs in Canada do not know this? This is not a matter of "nothing can be done," this is a matter of doctors choosing to do nothing.

It's positively sick how the vast majority of Canadian doctors are reacting to the issue of CCSVI, just absurd, I don't care what anybody says in their defense! It is so unethical!

I debated about including thrombolysis on the list of what can be done, I am not sure if the risks justify the use of it, but the ones I listed are not risky options. Thornyrose, I agree, it is terrible.
