If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Tramadol

Post by Karazhan »

I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience with this medication.

I began having pain in my left side a couple of weeks ago. a CT scan revealed a 9mm kidney stone. My gp offered Percocet but since I don't do well with codeine based drugs, I asked for something else. She prescribed Tramadol and while it was moderately effective for the kidney stone pain, I was pleasantly surprised that it took away the burning/needle pain in my legs and feet. i was actually able to sleep on my back while taking this med (something I haven't been able to do in years though I don't know why).
I had lithotripsy last week so the kidney stone is gone...but so is my Tramadol.
My MS doc prescribed gabapentin a couple years ago for nerve pain but I didn't care for the brain fog feeling it gave me. I'm wondering if Tramadol is a viable request for my nerve pain.
