CCSVI and Stem cell procedure

My doc mentioned that they have started performing autostemcell implantation by harvesting them from the hips and inserting them in the pulmonary artery. Has anyone had any experience with this? Benefits? Worth the trouble?

I know one woman that had stem cells from her bone marrow That was injected into her jugular vein at the same they were doing angioplasty. That was about 10 months ago. From last we spoke she is doing okay. No home runs here. If stem cells are to work they do take time.

Well that's what the doc mentioned, no chemo or something, just simple inserting into the jugular artery, I think, but I read some controversies online ?!?

Here was some discussion of stem cells, with drsclafani and Marc and bestadmom weighing in. One detail was that it seems to matter where the stem cells are injected. Inject them venously, they go to the lungs and get filtered out. Intrathecal injections in the spinal cord fluid or injections into the carotid artery may increase the chances of the stem cells reaching their target organ of the brain.

Chemotherapy isn't necessary because they're not trying to wipe out the immune system and start over. This is just an attempt to get the stem cells to go to where they're supposed to go in the brain, where they'll signal for healing, if I understand Marc's explanation of that part of it.

Not really, in Bulgaria it is about 4000-5000 $ (2.500 EUR). Maybe worth the try, but maybe I will wait a bit to see the results. Not much in a hurry.

A friend of mine went to Florida. They said 4 to 5 months to see improvements of MS. She went to Stem Genex, a clinic in Florida. That's all I know about it.
