I can't answer your question about patients experiencing problems with their thyroid after procedure. I think I've heard of another case or two of a thyroid cyst being discovered during the routine CCSVI imaging but never a malignant one.

Your reasoning seems plausible, if the tumor was there and then the healthier conditions enabled it to grow?

The tumor was found incidentally during a routine ultrasound control after the procedure, all the laboratory tests were (and still are) all right as well as the clinical condition of the patient. This creates the impression to thoroughly examine the thyroid before procedure, to avoid what happened to my friend.
