Re: MS NOW LINKED TO DIFFERENT AREA OF THE BRAIN
Thanks Dania for the link.
The headline I wish to read is. We have found a way to detect the disease earlier in the vulnerable population, we can now identifiey the threat and eleminated it before it completely ravages the once healthy host over time.

Truly wish there was a way to have researchers pool all the current "different ways" of looking at MS into one mega-huge study. It would have been something to also have had the Zamboni protocol used to identify venous abnormalities with the 3 Tessla scans at the same time as they were comparing the thalamus in those 364 individuals."For their research, the scientists used precise imaging by the powerful 3 Tessla MRI scanner to compare the brains of 109 patients with the disease to 255 healthy subjects.
"This is looking at multiple sclerosis in a different way. The thalami are losing cellular content and we can use this as a marker of what`s going on. If we can find a way to detect the disease earlier in a more vulnerable population, we could begin treatment sooner," Hasan said.
