NHS 'facing neurology disease time bomb'

The NHS in England is facing a time bomb if it does not get to grips with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, campaigners say.

The Neurological Alliance, which represents 70 groups, said a combination of poor services and rising case numbers was causing problems.

It accused the NHS of having its "head in the sand".

The government said it recognised that more needed to be done for people with neurological conditions.

Sounds about right. My brief experience of been treated for Optic Neuritis in a 'World Renowned' Teaching Hospital was truely horrific tinged with comedy, pantomime and disbelief.

In contrast I recieved prompt decisive treatment in a small hospital in a developing nation.

No Hope Service of Britainistan.
