Looking for MS/physical-therapy Resort

Post by pallen12345 »

Does anyone know of a resort environment anywhere that specializes in immersive physical therapy, nutrition, etc. for individuals with disabilities and/or MS specifically? I've been searching online but haven't found anything.

Thanks so much for any tips!!!

Hello Paul, I think you might stand more chance of getting some response if you put your question in the General Interest section, where more people will see it. I do know that there are many such places in France (I don't know anywhere in particular but the French tourist board should be able to help) but you might just be looking for places in the US or Canada. Best of luck with finding what you want.

Paul I think any place you find is likely looking to scam you out of money as there is no cure(as I know it). My opinion- not law. What is your standing on the EDSS as it makes a difference as to what you are capable to do for yourself. Now John can do for himself but doesn't he leaves that up to me which is fine with me it keeps his stress level down. :D Do you have a spouse wishing to help? Can you afford to hire someone to follow the directions you set out if that's your best route? Questions like these need to be answered. You have a start but now look for the answers that will work best for you. There is so much information on this site and so much support. You can get back control if you are willing to put in the time. I'll help all I can but can only promise it's from the heart not a cure.
John was diagnosed Jan 2005. On lipitor 20mg .On Copaxone since July 4,2005. Vitamin D3 2000iu-4000iu (depending on sunshine months)June 10 2005(RX::Dr. O'Connor) Omega 3 as well Turmeric since April 2005. Q10 60mg. 1500mg liquid Glucosamine Nov 2005.

Hugo Center - Colorado

Post by Grumpster »

The Hugo Center in CO was founded by Jimmy Hugo, an ex-downhill ski racer who developed MS. They specialize in MS physical therapy (water yoga, etc) and nutritional education for MS patients.

Do a search on the web and you will find a link to their site.

Good luck!
