Hello.

Post by javaaddict »

I've not yet been given a dx of MS, but I've sadly heard it from a handful of doctors over the past year, and am returning to the Neurologist to pursue further testing.

I'm completely overwhelmed, and not sure what to do at this point. The possibility of MS makes me so sad - I don't think I have it in me to fight this.

The suspicions started a year ago when I experienced a 6th cranial palsy on the left side, leaving me with binocular diploplia. It took about 5 months to finally clear up. At that time they thought I had possible had a stroke, which landed me in the hospital (also pregnant then) and that's when I first heard about MS. However, there were no lesions on my MRI, so the neurologist decided it was a random fluke.

Fast forward a year to now, and I'm experiencing SEVERE horrible pain searing down my face that started with a cold. My GP diagnosed this as trigeminal neuralgia, again on the left side, and again I heard that this paired with last year's events looks a lot like MS and she asked me to return to the Neurologist.

I'm not sure how to even think about any of this, I'm completely overwhelmed. I don't know anybody with MS and I don't even know what I'd ask if I did.

So HI then, that's my little blurb! :(

Hi javaaddict! are u coming from java?

That's okay too be sad, i felt the same when i first felt the symptomps. It took me 2 years before i revealed that i had all these weird symptomps to my husband. Then accompanied by 4 months in searching my illness, in n out many hospitals here. No doctor knowed what's wrong with me, coz all the lab tests came back normal.

Frustated, yeah of course. If u don't know what illness that u have, then how could u cure it. I was really sad at that time. And then the optic neuritis came, and it became my turning point. I was diagnosed with MS, the uncurable disease said my neurologist. Oh how that breaks my heart, my dreams all shattered. But i also relieved, at least my illness had a name.

Well, i'm still on my journey to find a cure for my illness. Depress? yeah, on n off on my journey. Coz how can u not be sad for what u have lost. But i find a new beginning for my new life n i also find many new things in my life, exciting experience that will make my life unboring anymore.

Don't worry u're not alone.

God bless u n loves u no matter what.
Warm regards,
Linda

Welcome javaaddict ,sorry to read of your symptoms. For me the more I let fear control my thoughts the closer those fears get to becoming reality. If and when you get a dx,remember God only gives us what we can handle,so he must think highly of those of us with ms. Stay strong and make the most of your day.
