steriods

Post by titchie »

Hi, could somebody advise me I have been given a 5 day course of steriods high dose, I have managed to steer clear of these up to now, DR has said it will help with things. now the nitty gritty weight gain? how long will it stay with me off on hols in June don't want to be a blub, will this have been sorted out? Also now going through tests for the tablet, yeah, no more stabbing myself, so in a better place in my head was a bit morbid sorry not normally like that.

Avoid salt and increase potassium intake (banana, avocado) to lessen water retension. Limit sugar (especially processed foods, white bread/rice) as much as possible, and combine with all meals with a healthy fat (unsalted walnuts, almonds, pistachios) to lower glycemic index. Drink lots of water. Good luck.

Avocado is also a source of good, healthy fat.
