don't dismiss ccsvi yet

Post by erinc14 »

we don't have the data yet to dismiss it. Dr. Alexander Rae-Grant "What if we're missing something? What if there is a vascular piece to this? What if there's a subset in which this means something? What if we're throwing the baby out with the bathwater?"

Agreed, DougL. :)
I guess Dr. Rae-Grant is the doctor working with Dr. Fox at the Cleveland Clinic, but Dr. Fox has been dismissive of CCSVI, despite their own findings of intraluminal abnormalities in the jugular veins of autopsied MS patients. Still when they say "what if we're missing something?" the 'we' is referring to a group of neurologists gathered at the ACTRIMS conference, and it's a breath of fresh air in that group!
