Hi there,
just one question - after HSCT procedure do you still need to take immunosuppressive drugs? Or you just forget about them? I understand there might be some neurological damage left. Are there any long term side effects after HSCT?

So how is life after HSCT?
Re: So how is life after HSCT?
Just to be clear, I would like to know if all that is left is the neurological damage from MS and the patient is essentially drug free for the rest of his/her life or if the patient still needs to take immunosuppresive/modulatory drugs either for the MS or as a precaution after HSCT (due to transplantation itself).

Pawel, the sole purpose of HSTC it to reboot the immune system. If HSTC succeeds in doing so, there will be no need to take immune-suppressors. Having said this, like anything else in life, there is no 100%% guarantee HSTC will work, either in the long run or at all. This depends on a host of factors that even doctors and scientist do not fully understand yet.
