anyone lived in Alaska?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

I was watching Alaska state troopers and decided to google MS and Alaska. I've read that Eskimos never/almost never get M.S. But I was curious of the overall rate there since it seems pretty dreary and well, like you'd have trouble getting many UVB rays/vitamin D. If I'm reading this study right though, it seems like moving to Alaska reduces your risk of developing MS, while moving from Alaska to the lower 48 increases the risk. Weird.

I know people in AK tend to be more active outdoors. What else would be different in the diet? Fewer pollutants? Cleaner air?
